2020 has been a crazy year for not only those who had planned on getting married but it also took a toll on all those working in the wedding industry. Big brands and storefronts didn’t lose out on much but it was the little guys, the small businesses that have felt the heat.
As a bridal salon, we have had our fair share of brides that have found their dream gown, but, had those same dreams of a big wedding in 2020 taken because of the current COVID climate. But, not all is lost! Through these difficult circumstances, they have found that there is always hope! These same brides have learned to rise above the circumstances and show the world that true love is never really canceled!
We wanted to showcase how a couple in love and a handful of small businesses can still come together during these trying times and create a beautiful intimate moment that will last a lifetime!
Our model, a current Love and Lace bride, Jordan, and her now-husband, Tylar, joined in on this fun styled shoot. Like so many of our brides, Jordan is alternative and edgy, never fearful of making a stand and showing her personal style. She was the perfect person to showcase our unique designers and their stunning gowns! Both she and Tyler brought the photoshoot to life, proving that all you really need is a couple in love to create a successful wedding!

Each dress featured was meticulously picked with our brides in mind! Whether eloping on our golden coast or having a small socially distant gathering in a family member’s back yard, each of these dresses would fit the bohemian and modern style so many of our brides love.
Laudae Bridal Wedding Gown:
Sarajevo is a timeless yet modern fit-n-flare gown from Laudae Bridal’s newest Kairos collection. Named after the capital city of Bosnia, Sarajevo is the perfect mix of modern romanticism. The soft ivory crepe skirt balances nicely with a slightly glamorous scalloped top leaving a bride to feel as any should on their big day.
Rish Bridal Wedding Gown
Rish Bridal has always been known for gowns that have a pinch of romance, a dash of organic bohemian elements, and a sprig of glamour. Laura is a lace gown that encapsulates all these things. With its delicate and unique lace, this fit-n-flare gown brings an old-world charm that is most definitely needed during these unprecedented times.
Truvelle Bridal Wedding Gown
Based out of Vancouver, Truvelle Bridal always manages to turn everyone’s head when a bride walks down the aisle in one of their designs. The Kisha gown is no exception! Silk straps tie a bodice covered in pearl dotted lace and flow into a double-layered tulle skirt. Elegant, sophisticated but oh so fun and modern! Kisha is a part of Truvelle’s latest namesake collection in which retailers across the world nominated a bride that represented strong women that made lasting impressions when shopping for their gown. The Kisha gown was named after Nakisha, a bride from British Columbia that is the definition of a female warrior. Nakisha is a childhood cancer survivor and amputee that met her now-husband, Chris is high school. Their friendship blossomed into love! With Chris’ constant support, acting as a pillar to lean on in the tough times, Nakisha proves that strong women are everywhere and can overcome anything thrown their way. We are proud and honored to carry the Kisha gown and share Nakisha’s story to all those who try on this modern gown!
Made with Love Lola Wedding Gown:
Made with Love Bridal has always been known as a beacon for the romantic bohemian bride, but, with their latest Lola gown, they have pulled out all the stops and gave us the glamour and pop that is needed during these trying times. With its alluring light glass beading and flat sequins, the Lola gown is light and breezy while still hugging the figure. Delicate straps adorned with small pearls add detail that all can appreciate!
The vendors that vied together to create multiple different setups utilized Poema Studios and created a 70’s inspired disco party that any bride would be envious of! This styled shoot showcased a multitude of vendors and the unique talents that they each bring to the weddings they are all a part of!
Blush florals with pops of coral and burnt orange lined wooden tables, while macrame and velvet added texture to the whole scene. No neutral bohemian wedding would be complete without hints of dry florals like pampas and bunny tails that accompanied glittering disco balls that hung from the ceiling.
We hope this styled wedding photoshoot brought a new appreciation for small businesses that have been affected during this time, but, more importantly, served as a reminder that love truly is not canceled and will always prevail.
