It’s true, we have a long veil obsession.
First, there’s the decision to either wear a veil or not. It may feel too traditional, but there is something extraordinary about having a veil. And we are obsessed right now with long veils. Whether they have lace edges, a simple raw edge, or even a horsehair trim to give a modern design to the veil, veils can really give that extra push of “wow” that you’re hoping for as a bride. Yes, they can be seen as traditional, but it seems recently, veils are making a come back and we are all for it.
A long veil gives you an ethereal touch. A little spark of glam. And also depending on how you wear your hair will largely determine where you place the top of the veil and how it will hang off of your head.
*If wearing your hair down, slide the comb in at the crown of your head
*If wearing your hair half-up, place the comb right above where the hair comes together. (Your hair stylist will help with this too!)
*If wearing your hair all the way up, most of the time you will place the comb of the veil right up underneath the bun.
*If wearing your hair in a low chignon, you will want to place the veil right above the chignon.
Below are a couple veils from a veil designer, Veiled Beauty, that we carry in our store. You are always more than welcome to come in and see them for yourself and try them on with any of our gowns! You can make an appointment today here.
